In this article, we’ll provide you with a detailed, step by step guide on everything you need to know about creating the most efficient campaigns.

Step 1:  Start a Campaign and Basic Information

  • Navigate to the Tools tab at the top of the page, click Campaigns and then click on the+New Campaign button at the top right corner of the page.
  • Name and Describe your Campaign [this is for internal users only]


  • Event Based- select yes if your campaign is date-centric (ex: birthdays, renewal dates, webinars, conferences & trade shows)
  • Lock your campaign if you don't want other users [besides admins] to be able to edit your campaign
  • The Folder option is there for you to keep your campaigns organized
Step 2: Adding Automation to your Campaign
  • Just click on + New Automation 


 


  • Choose from any of Hatchbuck's Automation options


  • In a Nurturing Campaign, You can choose which Day you would like this step to occur 
  • You can also show the advanced timers to skip weekends or run the step at a particular time in the user or contact's time zone



  • In an event-based campaign, you can specify when in relation to the event you would like the action to occur. 



  • When your step is finished to your liking, just click Add Step and it will appear in the Campaign Step list
  • After you add a step you can both edit or delete it by clicking on the pencil-shaped buttons at the far right of the step’s line.
  • You can type directly into into the "day" boxes to change the day you'd like that step to occur
  • You can also drag and drop campaign steps to switch up your order using the re-arrange icon on the far left
  • Add additional steps by clicking + New Automation or any + icons above or below current steps



Step 3: Finishing up!
  • When you have added all your steps, click the Finish button at the top right hand side of the Setup Campaign Steps page and voila! You are the proud owner of a brand new Campaign.


  • Choose Contacts for your campaign by checking the boxes near the contacts (on your contact list) and select "Start Campaign".
  • If you want to change your Campaign for whatever reason, you can always edit your Campaigns by clicking Tools, then Campaigns, and then clicking on the Campaign you want to edit!
  • Note: You cannot change Campaign Dates once the campaign has already started. You also cannot change steps of a campaign if there are contacts scheduled for that step.
